简介
绣眼鸟科鸟类。分布于东亚和东南亚地区。2018年前为日本绣眼鸟亚种，后通过分子遗传学研究确认为独立物种。栖息于城市公园、农田边缘至原始森林等多种环境。
形态特征
小型鸣禽，体型圆润，具特征性的白色眼圈环绕眼部。整体羽色以橄榄绿色为主，腹部多为灰白色或淡黄色，翅羽和尾羽颜色略深。喙部细长且略向下弯曲，适应其取食习性。
如何辨识
野外辨识的主要特征是明显的白色眼圈和橄榄绿色的上体。与近似种日本绣眼鸟的区别需要通过分子鉴定，但在野外观察时，亚种间的羽色深浅和分布范围可作为辅助辨识依据。
分布与栖息地
分布于中国东部、台湾、越南北部、泰国-马来半岛、苏门答腊岛及婆罗洲岛。引进种群已建立于南加州。栖息于低地至山地森林、林缘、灌丛以及人类居住区附近的树木环境中。
习性与生态
集群活动，性活泼好动。以昆虫、花蜜、果实和种子为食。繁殖期在树丛中编织杯状巢，雌鸟负责孵卵。鸣叫声为轻柔的啁啾声，群体联络时发出细弱的吱吱声。
生存状况
分布范围广，种群数量稳定，在大部分分布区域内属于常见物种。目前未受到重大威胁，IUCN红色名录中未将其列为受威胁物种。
