雀形目鸦科鸟类，原归于旧大陆莺类群。分布于中国中南部及云南、广西、贵州、四川等地，延伸至喜马拉雅山脉东段至中南半岛北部。在不丹、中国、印度、印尼、老挝、马来西亚、缅甸、尼泊尔、菲律宾、泰国、东帝汶、越南等国家有分布记录，可能也分布于孟加拉国东北和东南部。
