Introduction
A small passerine bird traditionally classified within the Old World babbler family Timaliidae, though taxonomic research suggests it may belong to the Vireonidae family (vireos). Occurs across the Himalayas and Southeast Asia, from eastern Nepal through northeastern India, Myanmar, and northwestern Vietnam. Inhabits subtropical and tropical moist montane forests at elevations between 1,200 and 2,400 meters.
Distribution & Habitat
Range extends from eastern Nepal across the Himalayan foothills of northeastern India and Myanmar to northwestern Vietnam. Restricted to high-elevation forest habitats where it occupies the middle to upper canopy layers of moist montane forest environments.
