Introduction

A bird in the family Leiothrichidae, first described by Robert Swinhoe in 1867. Formerly placed in the genus Garrulax, it was moved to the genus Pterorhinus following a 2018 molecular phylogenetic study.

Distribution & Habitat

Found in China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
