Introduction
A passerine bird in the family Leiothrichidae. Found across the northern Indian subcontinent, primarily in the Himalayas and adjoining regions including Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet, and Vietnam. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Formerly classified in the genus Garrulax, molecular phylogenetic research in 2018 led to its transfer to the resurrected genus Pterorhinus.
Distribution & Habitat
Ranges across the Himalayas and northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, extending through Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet, and Vietnam. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests throughout this range.
