Introduction

Species of leaf-warbler found in the Palearctic region, occurring in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Central Asian Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Inhabits rocky hill and scrub forest habitats. Gleans insects from small branches and leaves. Found in small groups with a tendency to forage low in vegetation, sometimes hopping on the ground. Vocalization is a single-note 'cheep' call.

Distribution & Habitat

Palearctic range extending through Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Central Asian Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Inhabits rocky hill and scrub forest habitats.

Forages by gleaning insects from small branches and leaves. Typically occurs in small groups. Shows a tendency to forage low in the vegetation, occasionally hopping on the ground. Produces a single-note 'cheep' call.
