Distribution
breeds Chisos Mountains of southwestern Texas patchily through Sierra Madre Oriental in central Coahuila to southwestern Tamaulipas, northeastern Zacatecas, and northern San Luis Potosí; winters southeastern Sinaloa southward to central Guerrero and eastward to Morelos
