Annam Limestone Babbler

Introduction
A passerine bird in the family Pellorneidae endemic to the limestone hills of northern Indochina. This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and moist montane forest. It was previously classified as a subspecies of the variable limestone babbler (G. crispifrons) but was elevated to species status in 2020 based on genetic evidence. The limestone specialization and restricted geographic range are notable ecological characteristics.
Distribution & Habitat
Restricted to the limestone karst formations of northern Inddochina. Inhabits subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests as well as moist montane forests found in this region. The species is closely associated with limestone hill habitats throughout its range.
