Found in the Indian subcontinent and adjoining regions of Southeast Asia, ranging across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. Natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
