Found across the Indian subcontinent and adjoining regions of Southeast Asia, ranging across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
