Distribution & Habitat

This species occurs across East and Southeast Asia, with confirmed populations in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Laos, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its range may also extend into Malaysia and possibly Myanmar. It inhabits natural wetlands, particularly swamps and marshy areas.

Conservation

The species faces ongoing habitat loss as wetlands are degraded or converted for agriculture and development. This threatens its natural swamp habitat across its range.
