Introduction

A species of bush warbler in the family Cettiidae, formerly included in the Old World warbler assemblage. It inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland and montane forests and scrub, occurring at altitudes from 1,500–2,700 m, occasionally down to 600 m. The species is non-migratory.

Distribution & Habitat

Found in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Vietnam. Natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and scrub.
