分布于南亚和东南亚地区，包括孟加拉国、不丹、柬埔寨、中国西南部、印度、东南亚各国、尼泊尔、泰国以及西藏东南部和越南。栖息于亚热带或热带湿润的山地森林中，常见于海拔1000至2400米的山地阔叶林和竹林地带。
