Introduction
A passerine bird in the Old World babbler family (Timaliidae). It occurs from the Himalayas to north-western Vietnam, inhabiting subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. This species has undergone taxonomic reclassification, having been formerly placed in the monotypic genus Xiphirhynchus before molecular phylogenetic studies led to its placement in the genus Pomatorhinus.
Distribution & Habitat
Range extends from the Himalayas through north-western Vietnam. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
