Introduction

A leaf warbler in the family Phylloscopidae. Formerly placed in the genus Seicercus, it was moved to Phylloscopus following a 2018 molecular phylogenetic study that found both genera non-monophyletic. The species occurs in China, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam, where it inhabits temperate forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It forages as an insectivore.

Occurs in mainland Southeast Asia including southern China, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Inhabits forest environments across multiple elevation zones, from temperate woodlands to subtropical and tropical moist forests at both lowland and montane elevations.
