Introduction
Species of sparrow family found in China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Inhabits subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. Resident in the Tibetan plateau region of northwestern Nepal, occurring at elevations of 4,200–5,100 metres during summer and 2,530–3,445 metres in winter. Occupies open stony hillsides, plateau areas, and village surroundings.
Distribution & Habitat
Range extends through China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Inhabits subtropical or tropical dry shrubland on the Tibetan plateau. Summer range occurs at 4,200–5,100 metres elevation; winter range at 2,530–3,445 metres. Prefers open stony hillsides, plateau regions, and areas near villages.
