Introduction

This songbird species belongs to the family Locustellidae, having formerly been placed in the 'Old World warbler' assemblage. It is found in southeast Asia. Until recently considered a subspecies of B. seebohmi, with the common name formerly applied to the entire species complex before taxonomic split.
