Introduction

A songbird species formerly classified in the Old World warbler assemblage under Bradypterus luteoventrus, it is now placed in the family Locustellidae. The species occurs across Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. It inhabits boreal forests during the breeding season and subtropical and tropical forests in winter quarters.
