Introduction
Passerine bird in the family Leiothrichidae. Found in China, India, and Myanmar. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Following molecular phylogenetic study in 2018, this species was moved from the genus Garrulax to the resurrected genus Ianthocincla.
Distribution & Habitat
Range includes China, India, and Myanmar. Three subspecies are recognized: I. c. cineracea in the Purvanchal Range, I. c. strenua from eastern Myanmar to Yunnan, and I. c. cinereiceps in South China. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
