Introduction
Passerine bird in the family Leiothrichidae. Formerly placed in the genus Garrulax, it was moved in 2018 to the resurrected genus Grammatoptila as the only species. Found in the northern temperate regions of the Indian subcontinent across Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Tibet, and Nepal. Inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
