Introduction

A bird species in the family Paradoxornithidae. Formerly classified in Timaliidae genus Alcippe or in Sylviidae. Natural habitat is temperate forest. The species was formerly known as Manipur fulvetta, but those populations have been split and are now treated as the distinct species F. manipurensis. Similarly, the Taiwan fulvetta (F. formosana) was formerly considered a subspecies but is now treated as a separate species. Not considered threatened by the IUCN.

Distribution & Habitat

Inhabits temperate forest habitats. Specific geographic range details are not provided in the source material.
