Distribution & Habitat
This species inhabits subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests as well as subtropical and tropical moist montane forests. Two subspecies are recognized. The nominate subspecies (A. n. nipalensis) occurs from the central and eastern Himalayas eastward through northern Myanmar. The subspecies A. n. stanfordi is found in the hill forests of southwestern Myanmar, specifically in the Chin Hills and Arakan Mountains.
